About NSFA
The Nevada State Firefighters Association (NSFA) is the statewide organization representing firefighters across Nevada. We serve our members by advocating for firefighter safety, professional development, and community partnership throughout the state.
This membership management system allows authorized personnel to maintain member records and verify membership status.
Membership Types
Active Members
Active members are members of career, combination, and volunteer fire departments and members of the State Fire Marshal’s division who are of good moral character and American citizens.
Associate Members
Associate members shall be fire commissioners, city, county and state officials; individuals representing firms and corporations interested in the protection of life and property against fires; those supplying equipment and accessories; and other persons whose business brings them into personal contact with fire departments.
Life Members
Life Members shall be those persons who have been a member of this Association for ten or more years and have retired from active fire service. Active life members shall pay no dues but shall have all the rights of membership.
Goals & Objectives
Membership
To increase membership of all firefighters in the state of Nevada.
Fire Service Training
To promote and support an effective statewide training program that meets Nevada’s needs at all levels of service.
Legislation
To insist legislative action ensuring funding for state fire training is utilized for the development of standards, curriculum, and delivery of fire training.
Communication
Develop a plan to have members become more informed and involved.
Financial
To seek financial support for the funds and awards presented by the NSFA.
Unity
Create an “identity”, comradery, between all Nevada state firefighters.
Conference
To provide all areas of Nevada with the most up-to-date information, technology, and training.
Programs
To provide funds and awards to members and their families, as well as provide training for members.
National
To represent all firefighters of Nevada at the national level to “give voice” to the needs of the firefighters.
